Yesterday was the day of full transition to digital TV (Television Numerique Terrestre) in our region. Since we already had TNT reception for most of the channels, I expected it to be a fairly smooth thing. That is, turn off the analogue transmission and boost the digital ones.
But I didn’t take into account the habitual practice of government agencies in any country to fuck up simple things. Somehow they managed to, not only shut down the analogue network, but also to screw up the TNT transmissions so that we now have NO French channels at all. All that remains is the four Swiss ones.
Given that we are one of the last regions to make the transitions one would have thought they knew how to do it by now. How bloody difficult can it be?
