We have just enjoyed our Easter lunch with Swedish pickled herring and eggs. There was some sausages and meatballs as well for the kids. We couldn’t make our own pickled herring this year since the herring we bought at the Christmas bazar of the Swedish church in Lausanne expired before Easter. Thus we had to make do with the one we could get from Ikea which if course was Ikea’s own brand and not as good as really good herring can be but it’s reasonably okay at least.
Bodil hade made homemade kavring (Swedish bread) and we had some Swedish cheese as well and of course some of our favourite Corsican dried sausage. Now I’m stuffed 🙂
