Last Sunday afternoon I put the new decorations in place and filled up the dining room aquarium again. Then yesterday evening some plants went in. The water is still quite cloudy from the initial fill-up and growth of free floating bacteria before the bacteria cultures in the filter have matured enough to start working.
As you can see I intend to have much less plants, more focus on inert decorations and much more free swimming space than in the previous set-up. The two plantations to the left and right of the main root is, hopefully, going to grow upwards mostly to provide two high tube shaped areas of vegetation that the fish can swim around.
We’ll see if the plants agree with my intentions. I have to wait for it to stabilize now so there wont be any fish introduced until the weekend after next at the earliest.
