Midsummer matjesill dinner

Midsummer herring supperDespite lousy weather forecast, which luckily turned out to be completely wrong, we were able to have a proper traditional herring (matjesill) dinner on the terrace today. Naturally with a strawberry desert. Tradition you know.

The kids mostly dug in on the meatballs and small sausages of course. It is only Jonathan that really eats Swedish herring and he prefers the pickled one before the matjes variety.

Anyway, we adults enjoyed it a lot even though we can only get the generic Ikea brand around here. Luckily their herring is not too bad still.
